Getting Started

What is Beflore? +

Beflore is your personal plant care companion. It helps you keep track of all your houseplants — when you watered them, when you fertilized, how they're doing over time.

But it's more than just a reminder app. Beflore learns from your care patterns and helps you understand what works for each plant. When something goes wrong, you can look back and see what changed in the days before.

How do I add my first plant? +

Super easy! Just tap the + button, take a photo of your plant (or skip it), give it a name, and optionally add a location like "Living Room" or "Bedroom".

That's it — you're ready to start tracking. The app will learn your care rhythm over time.

Is Beflore available for iPhone? +

Not yet, but it's coming! Beflore is currently available for Android on Google Play.

We're working on the iOS version and hope to launch it soon. Follow us on Instagram to be the first to know!

Pricing & Subscription

Is Beflore free? +

Yes! Beflore is completely free with all features included. You can track up to 10 plants without paying anything.

If you have more than 10 plants (we get it, plant addiction is real), you can upgrade to Beflore Bloom for unlimited plants.

What does Beflore Bloom include? +

Bloom gives you one thing: unlimited plants. That's it.

We believe all features should be available to everyone. Bloom is simply for plant collectors who need to track more than 10 plants.

Prices exclude VAT and may vary by region.

How do I cancel my subscription? +

You can cancel anytime through the Google Play Store:

  • Open Google Play Store
  • Tap Menu → Subscriptions
  • Find Beflore → Cancel subscription

You'll keep access to Bloom until the end of your current billing period. Your plants and data stay safe regardless.

What can I track with Beflore? +

Pretty much everything you do for your plants:

  • Watering
  • Fertilizing
  • Pruning
  • Repotting
  • Moving to a new spot
  • Misting
  • Progress photos
  • Notes
  • Health status changes

Everything appears on a visual timeline so you can see your plant's entire history at a glance.

Does Beflore work offline? +

Yes, 100%! Beflore works completely offline. No internet needed to add plants, log care, or view your data.

All your data is stored locally on your phone — not on our servers. This also means we can never see your plants or personal information.

What languages does Beflore support? +

Beflore is available in 5 languages:

  • English
  • Dutch (Nederlands)
  • German (Deutsch)
  • French (Français)
  • Spanish (Español)

The app follows your phone's language setting automatically, or you can change it manually in settings.

What's the home screen widget? +

The widget shows your plant care tasks right on your home screen — no need to open the app to see what needs attention today.

You can even water or fertilize multiple plants at once directly from the widget. Super handy for busy plant parents!

Privacy & Data

Is my data safe with Beflore? +

Absolutely. We take a privacy-first approach:

  • All data stays on your device
  • No account required
  • No cloud sync
  • No tracking or analytics
  • No ads

We literally can't see your data because it never leaves your phone. Your plants, your data, your control.

Can I backup my data? +

Yes! You can export all your data anytime from the app settings. This creates a backup file that you can:

  • Save to your phone or cloud storage
  • Import on a new device
  • Keep as a safety backup

We recommend backing up occasionally, especially before switching phones.

What happens if I uninstall the app? +

Since all data is stored locally, uninstalling the app will delete your plant data. We cannot recover it.

Important: Export your data before uninstalling if you want to keep it!

Troubleshooting

Reminders aren't working. Help! +

This is usually a phone settings issue. Here's what to check:

  • Make sure notifications are enabled for Beflore in your phone settings
  • Disable battery optimization for Beflore (Settings → Apps → Beflore → Battery → Unrestricted)
  • Some phones have aggressive background app killing — check your manufacturer's settings

The app is crashing. What should I do? +

Sorry about that! Try these steps:

  • Make sure you have the latest version from the Play Store
  • Restart your phone
  • If it persists, contact us with details about when it crashes
